Dancenter Vietnam Summer Dance Camp – What They Do and What They Offer

Dancenter Vietnam is a dance education and performance studio based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, focused on nurturing dance skills, confidence and creativity in individuals of all ages. The centre offers regular classes in various dance styles (such as K-Pop, Hip Hop, Acro and more), performance opportunities, workshops and specialised programmes for children, teens and adults, operating under the motto “Dance for All” to make dance accessible and enjoyable through structured classes and community events.

Purpose and Educational Focus

The Dancenter Vietnam Summer Dance Camp is a seasonal programme designed to provide children and teens with an engaging, active and creative summer experience through dance, movement, games and teamwork. The camp aims to deepen participants’ interest and skills in dance styles such as Dance Pop, Dance Groove, Acro and Breaking, all while encouraging confidence, teamwork, creativity and joy in movement in a fun, supportive environment.

Target Ages and Participation

The Summer Dance Camp caters primarily to children and teens from approximately 4 to 16 years old, structured into age-appropriate sessions and classes. Specific age categories include:

  • Mini Kids / Dance Magic: 4–6 years old
  • Dance Pop: 6–10 years old
  • Dance Groove: 10–16 years old
  • Acro & Breaking: 8–14 years old

This structure ensures that different age groups have activities tailored to their developmental level while maintaining inclusive participation across multiple age ranges.

Camp Schedule and Format

The Summer Dance Camp runs weekly programmes typically organised from Monday to Friday, with options for half-day or full-day attendance. Morning sessions (e.g., 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM) focus on core dance styles, while afternoon sessions (e.g., 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM) include complementary styles such as Acro and Breaking. Full-day programmes combine both morning and afternoon classes, offering a more immersive experience.

Dance Styles and Activities

The Summer Dance Camp includes a variety of dance-based sessions designed to build technique, expression and enjoyment. These include:

  • Dance Magic (4–6 years): Introduction to creative movement inspired by music, encouraging imagination and play alongside basic dance skills.
  • Dance Pop (6–10 years): Kids dance to contemporary music hits while developing rhythm, coordination and teamwork through games and structured activities.
  • Dance Groove (10–16 years): Tweens and teens dance to high-energy hip hop and groove music, expanding their skills and expressive movement in a fun environment.
  • Acro (8–14 years): Children and teens explore acrobatic movement, including balance, rolls and basic gymnastic elements to improve strength and confidence.
  • Breaking (8–14 years): A hip hop-inspired class introducing breaking fundamentals and creative expression through rhythmic movement and games.

Each style session is structured to progress daily, enabling participants to build on skills from previous days throughout the week.

Learning Environment and Teachers

Camp sessions are led by experienced dance instructors, referred to by name on the programme schedule (e.g., Ms. Xoay, Ms. Quan, Mr. Hiếu, Mr. Cubi), who guide children and teens through both technique and creative exploration. The environment is described as energetic, supportive and friendly, designed to encourage each participant to express themselves and enjoy movement while building dance skills.

Tuition, Discounts and Registration

The Summer Dance Camp offers different tuition options depending on participation length and type:

  • Half-day classes: Priced individually for Dance Pop, Dance Groove, Acro or Breaking at listed weekly or single-day rates.
  • Full-day combo: Combines morning and afternoon sessions at a bundled rate.

Dancenter Vietnam also provides tuition discounts including:

Goals and Benefits of Participation

The Summer Dance Camp aims to help participants:

  • Enhance physical coordination and fitness through structured movement and games
